ZOOM- Updated Services Information & FAQs

Reunited, and it feels so good…but here’s what you need to know:

We understand that meeting together again can be intimidating, and want to make this transition as smooth as possible. Below is a list of what can be expected the next few weeks for services.

Is there a worship service available for us if we decide not to go physically?

YES! we will be facilitating a worship service starting at 10:30 through ZOOM . The Zoom Link to this Sunday’s Service is:

If you need help getting set up for zoom, please reach out to office staff, and they can talk you through it!

Is Sunday School Available?

As of 10/04/20, Sunday School is temporarily paused.

Will the rows be spaced out to accompany social distancing?

Yes, we are going to try something totally new. We will have the room set up with tables instead of rows, and ask that family units sit together. Where there is space for others to join a table for the smaller families, we will try to do so while giving plenty of space to follow the county guidelines.

Will there be child-care or children’s church?

Extended Childcare Service for nursery age – 4 y/o (during worship service) has resumed.

Note: The computer will be set up for security sign in, with the request that parents use the available hand sanitizer before and after using the keyboard.

Children’s Church (ages 5-9 & during service) as also resumed.

Will the Worship Service time be the same?

Yes and no! As we mentioned before, we will be doing the service a little different. We will still start at 10:30 and get out around noon or a little before. We will, however, have a shorter worship set and sermon so that we can incorporate discussion questions and prayer for each other immediately after the sermon.

If I decide to come, how do I give my offering?

Instead of “passing the plate” we will have a designated person go to each table and hold the offering plate so that the offering can just be dropped in, rather than passing if from person to person.

Will the normal print outs be there to take home?

No, until further notice, we will continue doing updates through email and printed mail outs for those who request it. If you would like to sign up to receive our updates, call or text Nicole to get you set up. Or visit gpchurch.us, scroll down just past “Our Staff” and click to sign up for our weekly newsletter!

Will coffee and tea still be available?

No, but feel free to bring your own, so long as it has a lid to it and is remembered to go back home with you!

Can I come in any of the entrances?

We will now have both entrances open for your convenience!

Do I have to wear a mask?

We are not requiring people to wear masks, however we highly recommend doing so. There will be masks provided at the entrance.

Has the building been sanitized?

To the best of our ability, we will have a thorough cleaning done to the entire building. We will also have Lysol cans for each of the bathrooms to spray the stall handles, wipes, and sanitizer available in the bathrooms and throughout the building.

We are asking that you respect other’s space and resist hugging, high fiving, etc. If you are not feeling well, or are susceptible to the virus, no matter the age, we ask that you stay home and enjoy the service live.
