About

IS THE CHURCH STILL RELEVANT IN OUR POST MODERN SOCIETY?

The church is not simply a building that people come to, in order to meet once a week, or for weddings and funerals; rather, it is the community of believers in Jesus Christ, who gather together to worship Him and extend His love to our communities.

Grace Point has a well known legacy of being a loving and inclusive family that displays the life of the Gospel message. Our goal is to teach the Bible with relevance and clarity for our generation, and that to continue to be a church that cares for the families and individuals in our community.

Our Statement of Faith

We believe that God, the Creator and Ruler of the Universe, has eternally existed as three persons in one, The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Gen. 1:1, 26,27; 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matt. 28:19; 1 Pet. 1:2; II Cor. 13:14

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, lived a perfect sinless life.

He gave His life so that all mankind could be reconciled with the Father.

He died on the cross, and after 3 days, demonstrating His power over sin and death, He rose from the grave.

He ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return again in the fullness of His glory to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.

Matt. 1:22,23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5, 14:10-30; Heb. 4:14, 15; 1 Cor. 15:3,4; Rom. 1:3,4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Tim. 6:14,15; Titus 2:13

The Holy Spirit makes men aware of their need for Jesus, and lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation.

He provides Christians with the power to live, to understand spiritual truth, and gives guidance in life.

He gives gifts to every believer when they are saved, and as believers we strive to live under His divine control daily.

1 Cor. 3:17; John 16:7-13; 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; 1 Cor. 1:12, 3:16; Eph. 1:13; Gal. 5:25; Eph. 5:18

We believe the Bible is a divinely inspired record of God’s revelation of Himself to us, written by man under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit.

It is the infallible source of truth for Christian belief, and is founded in the revelation of Jesus Christ.

II Tim. 3:16; II Pet. 1:20,21; II Tim. 1:13; Psalm 119:105, 160; 12:6; Prov. 30:5

We believe that all men are made in the image of God, yet have fallen short of His glory due to sin and rebellion.

Gen. 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6a; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1-2

Salvation is the free gift God has given to us through Jesus, to atone for our sins.

We cannot earn salvation through good deeds or self-improvement, it is only by believing in Jesus, and trusting in his name that we are saved.

Rom. 6:23; Eph. 2:8-9; John 14:6, 1:12; Titus 3:5; Gal 3:26; Rom. 5:1

Eternal life with God begins the moment you accept the forgiveness of God through Jesus.

We will exist forever, either eternally separated from God in Hell, or eternally with Him in Heaven.

John 10:29; II Tim. 1:12; Heb. 7:25; 10:10,14; I Pet. 1:3-5; John 3:16; John 2:25; John 5:11-13; Rom. 6:23; Rev. 20:15; Matt. 1:8
